San Miguel School Board of DirectorsThe board members of THE SAN MIGUEL SCHOOL of Camden oversee the moral, spiritual, fiscal, and programmatic aspects of the school. These men and women are appointed by the Members because they understand the missions of THE SAN MIGUEL SCHOOL of Camden and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Our board members are experts in their professional lives who bring their wealth of experience to benefit the school’s mission. They are excited to share the many accomplishments of the school to their constituents and to be an untiring advocate on behalf of the school. Each board member serves a three year term and can be renewed once for a total term of six years. The Board meets four times a year at school. Currently the board is divided into three sub-committees: development/trusteeship, finance, and strategic planning. As the board grows, an education and marketing/public relations sub-committee will be added. Each board member is expected to provide a financial donation to the school, according to his/her means. ![]() Robert SpiresChairmanMr. Spires is Director of Fund Operations currently overseeing such for the UFCW Local 152 Benefit Funds. He is responsible for the administration of Health & Welfare, Defined Benefit Pension and Severance Funds. Gillespie, Jr.Vice ChairmanMichael Gillespie serves as the Vice President of Client Services at his family’s ad agency, the Gillespie Group located in Drexel Hill, PA. He’s been with the firm since 1999. Gillespie Group is a full-service advertising agency located that provides the full range of creative and media buying services for a wide range of clients representing virtually every category from the Archdiocese to Automotive; from the Arts to Appliances. more.. ![]() James HobanSecretaryMr. Hoban is happy and honored to be joining the San Miguel School community as Principal. He arrives via the Catholic school system in Philadelphia where he spent 15 years as a theology teacher and administrator. Miller, Jr., FSCA native of New Orleans, Miller is a member of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, an international Roman Catholic religious order, or Institute of religious Brothers. From the time Kevin was a child his parents stressed the importance of having God in his life and receiving a good education. These two principles have always guided Kevin’s decisions.
