Sigma Phi Lambda Fraternity at La Salle University

I Am My Brother’s Keeper: A Fundraiser for The San Miguel School of Camden

With support from the University Life Office, The Sigma Phi Lambda fraternity at La Salle University sponsored a 3v3 basketball tournament to help raise funds to sponsor two middle-school aged brothers attending The San Miguel School of Camden. The fundraiser was simple: draw a score of teams that paid a $20 entrance fee to compete for various prizes contributed by local stores. The participants got T-shirts and a free lunch. The fraternity brothers were busy scheduling and reffing the games, managing the clock, and keeping the food supply in place.

James Hoban Hired as New Principal of San Miguel School

James Hoban has been hired as the new Principal of The San Miguel School of Camden effective 1 January 2009. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hoban served the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Schools system in various capacities as Principal, Assistant Principal for Academics, Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, and as a religion teacher.
